Originally from Hong Kong, Gordon moved to the UK in 1995 and trained at Bath University, the RCA and Southbank University. With a broad experience in commercial fit outs and interior design, he is commercially aware and decisive.
Gordon’s strength is concept design and he tends to take the creative lead on the practice’s projects.
He led the team’s designs notably for the VIVI Restaurant at Centre Point & Hutong at the Shard. Gordon worked for a series of notable practices including Foster + Partners, John Pawson and Conran & Partners.
Gordon then founded SAY Architects in 2007 before starting Gordon Young Architects in 2018.
